For us, the ‘why’ behind what we do is you.

I realise that I often use the blog to share information about our products and new collections. I guess I thought that I know why people come to our business and are here because they are interested in what’s new in store. But what I have just considered is, that for some people who are just discovering our shops, what we sell may be less important to them than who we are and the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’. I love the testimonials on our home page from many of our loyal customers, who say that some of the most important factors about shopping with Kings Road are the experience, the service they receive and how we make them feel.  And creating this ethos has always truly been what we are all about. For us, the ‘why’ behind what we do is you. The lovely products help of course, but that’s not the whole story of really what drives us.

It’s important to realise that the products aren’t there by chance. The process involved in researching, sourcing and choosing exactly what is on offer in our shops takes a great number of months and we invest a lot of time into choosing thing that we think you will love.  One of the most important things I have come to understand about this industry is that it is impossible to choose what you think will be appreciated by your customers, unless you know who your customers actually are. This then feeds into our buying decisions and we often find that we are driven by a desire to find something that will excite our customers. When making our buying decisions, we try hard to seek new brands or within our existing collections we seek looks and new ideas. We get excited when we feel we’ve curated a collection that is really going to please you and can’t wait to come back and tell you about it.

For us this is a two-way relationship and  we are always open to hearing from you.
